GRM News delivers local news coverage for the northern region of Coahuila, Mexico, as part of a media group that also operates radio stations and print publications. With hundreds of thousands of visits a year, GRM News is a high-traffic regional news source — and a platform that needs to stay fast, secure, and reliable under real daily readership.

A news site serving hundreds of thousands of visits a year has different demands than a typical business website — traffic spikes around breaking news, constant content publishing, and zero tolerance for downtime. We built GRM News on a custom WordPress theme, backed by production AWS infrastructure engineered to hold up under real, sustained readership.

A high-traffic news platform is a real target — for spam, scraping, and attempted breaches. We hardened GRM News with production-level security practices from day one, the same approach we’ve applied after handling real intrusion incidents on other projects: locked-down file permissions, monitored access, and a WordPress install built to resist the kind of automated attacks that high-traffic sites see constantly.
